On 4 February 2025, Ikram Works Sdn Bhd and Ikram Paves Sdn Bhd took part in a zakat donation ceremony for flood victims in the eastern region, held at Roadcare's office for the eastern region. The recipients were families affected by severe flooding, with Kota Bharu and Kuala Krai among the areas hit.
The contribution took the form of financial aid. That leaves the order of spending to each household, which matters after a flood, when a family is replacing several things at once and no two houses need the same thing first. No amount was disclosed by the companies.
Puan Rafidah Umar, Head of Management and Business Regulatory at Ikram Works, said the contribution was made in response to the flooding and in line with the company's community commitments.
The ceremony brought three group companies together in one place: Ikram Works and Ikram Paves as contributors, Roadcare as host at its eastern regional office. Recovery from a flood runs long after the water has gone down, and support of this kind is aimed at that stretch, when repairs and replacements have to be paid for out of a household's own pocket.
