Our Journey: IAP 1.0 to IAP 3.0

Since our inception on 8 August 2008, Protasco Berhad has continually evolved to meet new challenges and opportunities. IAP3.0 marks the latest phase of that transformational journey, a new chapter from 2024 to 2030, building on the strong foundation laid by IAP1.0 and IAP2.0.

Facing external challenges, Senior Management across all Business Units identified five Critical Success Factors (CSFs) to drive continuous growth, aligned with our mission and focused on stakeholder value:
  • Talent Management, enhancing employee capabilities for sustained growth
  • Culture Transformation, centred on the ROCK-It values, building a high-performing culture
  • Digitalisation, increasing efficiency, reducing costs, enabling data-driven decisions
  • Business Sustainability, balancing financial prosperity with people and planet
  • Business Process Innovation, continuous improvement to better serve stakeholders

We take our journey forward by continuing to emphasise the same five CSFs, now aligned with five Strategic Goals, each inspired by a sustainability theme:

  • Compliance & Integrity

ESG Publications

The FY2025 Sustainability Report is published as part of the Annual Report, not as a standalone document, and includes Protasco's first climate disclosure aligned with IFRS S2.

Sustainability Governance

Under the guidance of our Group Managing Director (GMD), the Strategy & Sustainability Office (SSO) coordinates all sustainability initiatives. In collaboration with the Sustainability Working Committee (SWC) and the Division Working Committee (DWC), the SSO ensures that all ESG-related initiatives are executed effectively. Guided by the principles of People, Planet, and Prosperity, we focus on initiatives that strengthen the workforce, uplift society, and protect natural resources.

Stakeholder Engagement

Throughout the year, workshops, discussions, and meetings are held to ensure timely initiation and implementation of all material sustainability matters. Our FY2024 engagement calendar included the Sustainability Steering Committee meeting and Cybersecurity Awareness Training in June, a Board Risk Management Committee meeting in August, and an IFRS S2 Climate Risk Assessment Workshop in October, among 14 months of recorded engagements spanning discussions with all Business Units.

ESG Policies

Our policies serve as the foundation for our commitment to ethical conduct, sustainability, and responsible business practices.

  • Anti-Corruption Policy
  • Code of Conduct for Contractors
  • Cybersecurity Policy
  • ESG Risk Management Policy
  • Human Rights Policy
  • Net-Zero GHG Emissions Transition Plan
  • Non-Discrimination Policy
  • Safety & Health Policy
  • Supplier Code of Conduct

The whistle-blowing framework was strengthened in November 2024 and rolled out Group wide in FY2025, with zero cases recorded in FY2025. Each policy needs its own PDF or page before these become links.

Corporate Governance & Ethics

Our governance rests on a clear Board structure, the Board of Directors, supported by the Audit Committee, Board Risk Management Committee, and Nomination and Remuneration Committee (see the structure above), underpinned by a zero-tolerance stance towards bribery and corruption. Over the past three financial years (FY2023 to FY2025), the Group has maintained a zero-incident record on bribery and corruption, with no employees reprimanded or dismissed for policy breaches. Full committee composition, board practices, and case data sit in the Corporate Governance Overview Statement within the Annual Report.
